THIS IS A GREAT READ ššš
"Since the horse is always learning, we have to be aware of what our actions are teaching him." .š¤š“
The groundwork is not as it might seem at first, an easy job because we have fewer means of control than when we ride, and the same objectives are sought. If we have fewer means of control, of communication, why then do groundwork? In the first place, because what turns out to be a disadvantage, such as the lack of influence of the leg, hand, seat and weight aids, becomes an advantage since the rider's weight is in principle an impediment and the application of several simultaneous aids in many cases contradictory to obtain an initial control, together with the imbalance that the rider produces, can make it difficult for him to understand. Working on the rope allows us to focus on specific aspects in isolation, with more control on our part when we are on the ground, and to be more progressive in our education, going from the simple to the complex.
