Over the winter, when it's cold, wet or frosty, it’s inevitable that some of our horses end up spending more time in their stable or smaller paddocks. Being stabled for long periods of time can quickly make horses bored, especially if they're not used to it. If left unresolved, "stress can lead to health problems and agitated behaviour," explains Petplan Equine's expert vet, Gil. So what can we do as owners to reduce the risk of our horses feeling bored or stressed? Here are Gil's 6 top tips:
